MOTOR ACCIDENT COMPENSATION CLAIM

The UK Department of Transport has reported that every year there are over 250,000 vehicle collisions which cause over 3,000 fatalities and 40,000 serious injuries in addition to 200,000 minor injuries. If you’ve been injured as a result of a car, motorbike or cycling accident as a driver, rider, pedestrian or passenger within the last three years that wasn’t entirely your fault then we are able to deal with a motor accident compensation claim on your behalf. In cases where the person at fault is untraceable or lacking insurance, we can still claim compensation for you through the Motor Insurers Bureau the terms of which our solicitors will explain in detail.

Collision may be the fault of one party or another however there are times when both drivers are partly to blame and in those circumstances we can still make a motor accident compensation claim on behalf of a driver. A passenger can almost never be held responsible for causing or contributing to the cause of an accident and all passengers no matter which car they were travelling in will usually receive full compensation even though they may be closely related to the driver at fault.

Even if you don’t make your claim straight after the accident, it’s still important to do so within 3 years of its occurrence for it to be valid, although some exceptions do apply. If you were under-18 when the accident occurred, for instance, then the three-year period starts when you turn 18.

Of course you’ll be wondering how much you stand to gain. Well, this is variable on the nature and the extent of injury suffered and the quality of the medical evidence available to support your claim. Although sometimes claims are only resolved in court, take heart that the majority of them are settled out-of-court, through negotiation.

Our solicitors in England and Wales are all registered members of the Law Society panel of personal injury experts. The Law Society demands a high degree of experience and knowledge, backed by tangible competence, before accepting any member. Our expert solicitors operate using the “No Win No Fee” scheme, compensation is paid in full and you do not have to fund or finance your motor vehicle compensation claim in any respect. You need not arrange any loans, take out any insurance and there are never medical report charges or any other hidden expenses whatsoever. Win or lose our claims are completely risk free.
